YMCA
The goal of this project was to reflect the YMCA's core values – Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility throughout the building's expansive corridors. We developed an approach that used dramatic accent colors on the walls, bold graphics and a series of photographs of different people involved in a wide variety of activities that reinforced the values. The photos were mounted on acrylic panels with metal wall mounts; a simple and clean presentation that allowed the photos do the work. Additional artwork included an organic series by Willson in the community room, transitional landscapes in seating areas and nature photography in the locker rooms. These images reinforced the YMCA association with the outdoors, their camps and love of nature.
