Robert W. Baird Board Room
Robert W. Baird's brand guidelines establishes what the artwork on the walls should communicate. It's actually pretty simple, the artwork needs to express what the company values most – integrity, family, community, attention to detail and the beauty of nature. In the Milwaukee location that meant that the art would all pay tribute to the community. The signature piece in this boardroom is a commissioned collage that captures the essence of Milwaukee. The piece features images of the lakefront, the domes, the Calatrava, the Summerfest grounds, and city hall. In addition, a series of photographs tell a more detailed story of the city, it’s people and culture. In small conference rooms, organic, colorful, high energy pieces bring the room to life.
Other locations across the country employ a similar focus on the city they are located in. I research the city to learn about the community and its people. Then I source local artists so that the artwork is relevant and has meaning to its staff and clients.
